Punishingly Intricate

That's why we hope that he can be convinced to step down from the position before he names a senator.

Well, it seems unlikely he'll get anything out of naming the senator now, right? So why should he care?

How fast can the legislature impeach him? They hate him, right?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

They're also trying to see if they could call a special election.

Always Anti-fascist!

Bet they're wishing IL had Recall, now. Although mostly Recall is wacky, too, so maybe not.

Our wings are not tired.

Speculation was that Charlie announced the engagement to have a shot at the VP with McCain and now is going through with the wedding. I would have thought that it was laughable that McCain would have chosen him with his gay reputation, but considering how carefully they vetted Palin it could have happened.

I haven't seen any credible press that our governor is in fact gay. Just the fact that he has a 100% gaydar reaction from just about everyone. We disagree about just about everything, but generally I don't think he is the worst person at the job. Not particularly corrupt, just orange.

I was kinda sad that McCain didn't choose him because they looked so good together. [link]

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

they looked so good together.

... and here I was just wondering if "orange" meant something political and figurative. Nope.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Quinn seems to think there's another way to take the appointment away from Blago in 3 days. [link]

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Good lord, the man looks like an Oompa-Loompa from the 70's era Willy Wonka!

Art Crawl!!!

The problem with asking him to step down is assuming that he might do so for the greater good of the state of Illinois. (I would guess that it would have to be couched in someway to look like it would be for the greater good of Rod Blagojevich.)

I missed this on first glance.

He added he had not talked to Blagojevich since 2007.

The Lt. Gov hasn't spoken to the Gov in almost a year? ?!

I googled "Charlie Crist Oompa Loompa", and, well, you're not the first person to make that observation.
