Oh in Boston recently we had State Senator Diane Wilkerson, who refused to resign her seat after the FBI had her on videotape accepting a cash bribe and stuffing it into her bra.
And don't forget less than a month later ANOTHER state rep got caught taking cash on videotape. HIS response was to start having press conferences that the media and The (White) Man were out to get him. He seems to have missed the irony of getting large amounts of press for compalining that the press is out to get him.
Did you guys watch the press conference?
I'm listening to Pat Fitzgerald right now (WGNradio.com is carrying it live). Sounds like the Tribune knew about the bugging as it was happening and his office convinced them to hold off on publishing it until last Friday.
ETA: Loved Fitzgerald saying that if Illinois isn't the most corrupt state, it's sure in the running.
How does the license being fixed correlate to the part falling off the truck? Was that something a qualified driver would have been able to prevent?
Yes, proper securing of the load was something that any properly educated and qualified driver should have known.
Wow, that's some quality human being there, isn't it.
What a large, smelly human turd.
His quotes remind me of that guy they interviewed a couple of times on TDS. The guy who couldn't make it through two sentences without dropping a f-bomb or two.

His wife isn't much better:
During the call, ROD BLAGOJEVICH’s wife can be heard in the background telling ROD BLAGOJEVICH to tell Deputy Governor A “to hold up that fucking Cubs shit. . . fuck them.” ... Later, ROD BLAGOJEVICH’s wife got on the phone and, during the continuing discussion of the critical Tribune editorials, stated that Tribune Owner can “just fire” the writers because Tribune Owner owns the Tribune. ROD BLAGOJEVICH’s wife stated that if Tribune Owner’s papers were hurting his business, Tribune Owner would do something about the editorial board.

Was that the private detective guy (or security expert - something like that)? I remember that interview; it was hysterical.

Yes him. That's right, they called him a security expert.
