I'm very sorry if she tipped off anyone about your cunningly concealed herd of cows.

tommyrot, the headache/cough/fever combination sounds like the flu. I'd definitely plan to stay home, especially if you're still running a fever.

And have as much water/tea/soup as you can stand. Fluids are good.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Kat, that rocket is made of awesome! I wish you guys were closer so I could send you some of our Little Tikes playthings--we have the activity garden, table & chairs and a kitchen that are nearing the end of our use. They will be passed on to someone. I got it all off of Craigslist.

I think it was Cindy who noted that the Little Tikes stuff will survive the apocalypse. Keith Richards and the cockroaches will be driving the coupes and living in the Cozy Cottages.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Noah, the little rocket man.

Is anyone familiar with the book The Mysterious Benedict Society? I found one review that gave the age range as 9-12. I think it will be great for my nephew who is almost 9, but I'm wondering if it would also hold the interest of another kid who just turned 12. I just read the book (and enjoyed it) but I'm pretty sure this kid is smarter than I am.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

2008 will last one second longer.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

There's a public playground on my walk to the subway that's got a whole lot of Little Tykes stuff that lives there for all to play with. Even the vandals haven't figured out how to destroy it, evidently.

“Not dead yet!”

Keith Richards and the cockroaches will be driving the coupes and living in the Cozy Cottages.

Oh dear-- just not enough coffee in the world for that image.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Kat, that is AWESOME! Makes me wish I had a yard.

Our neighbors just bought a new dishwasher and the box it came in has been repurposed as a playhouse. The boys are VERY posessive of it - if one of them is in there, the other will try to climb in and push the other one out. So far no blood has been drawn.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

It sounds just like puppycam!

Our wings are not tired.

Noah, the little rocket man.

I am very much looking forward to the pictures. Despite knowing that the earworm will be there every time.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh good lord. They've been reporting all morning on reports that the selection process for Obama's Senate seat might be, shall we say, a wee bit unsavory. Now, they're interrupting to say that Blagojevich has actually been taken into custody this morning.

How many governors do we have in jail right now? Always room for another, I guess.
