If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

At least they're not sparkly?

Because books.

Aw! Tracy Bernstein is one of the nicest people in the business! I used to work with her. She's awesome.

“Not dead yet!”

Yeah, I have heard a lot of good things about Tracy and NAL is one of my dream houses.

Still... dark gothic shape-shifters and kick ass heroines? ::cringes::

But as brenda said, at least not sparkly.

Babe, you should see some of the stuff I've written copy for lately. That sounds positively sensible to me at this point.

I wonder if the dark gothic shape-shifter, when confronted by a kick-ass heroine, shifts the shape of its own ass so that it cannot be kicked.

That would thwart her!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

This morning started with the discovery that the dog ate (or at least shredded) one of my earplugs.

Then I tripped over the vast amounts of crap in my room and hit the ground.

It's going to be a banner day.

Bwah! (That was to Strega, not to Dana's day.)

It's like anything, though. Fans of Fall Out Boy, for example, always want more. So record companies sign bands that sound like them to fulfill the demand.

Diehard paranormal romance readers want to read ... well, paranormal romance. So editors look for stuff that's a twist on vampires or werewolves, and you get some ... interesting stuff. But as long as readers keep buying it, so will editors.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.
