I worry about Sue. But a home intruder is one of my big fears.
Don't worry msbelle. I am locked up for the night.
I may seem lax, but I'm not stupid. I don't look my door, but it is usually closed, and it's a big steel door, so people can't see who's in the house or not. And I use timers all year round to make it seem like the house is populated whether I'm home or not. And I don't answer the door normally unless I'm expecting someone.
Besides, I have a mother who worries enough for six people, I think she's cornered the market on worrying for me. You worry about yourself and little mac.
Having a house will be interesting to my securityfu. Really isn't that different that apt here, but still. More doors.
I sometimes wish I lived in a the same hood as all my friends. Most of the time, I guard my privacy fiercely and get all whacked out over unexpected drop-ins and have to shove that chick into a closet. But sometimes, sometimes I wish I could just drop by or be dropped by for an hour or 5 minutes or an impromptu last minute dinner without planning and scheduling and all that crap.
So when I feel cold, it means my body is trying to have a fever, right?
Your body is also warmer when compared with the ambient temperature.
As a veteran of many respiratory infections, my rule of thumb for going to the doctor is if I'm coughing up opaque greenish stuff (secondary bacterial lung infection); my face hurts and it hurts to touch my sinuses (secondary bacterial sinus infection); or I have an earache (secondary bacterial ear infection). Even if it's something that doesn't need an antibiotic, if it's hard to breathe or you're coughing too much to sleep, you can get drugs to feel better.
I usually turn to a stiff drink and a lot of blankets.
Huh. I don't lock my doors except when I go to sleep or leave. But there's literally only one other person on my street, and maybe a good dozen within a mile. A home intruder would have to go pretty far out of his way.
Am I being naive?
Probably am, huh. That sounds like stuff people would say on "It Takes a Thief" that I would mock.
Feel bette tommyot.
Yeah, Bette won't mind.
Order some hot and sour soup delivered to your door, tom. That's why you live in a big city.
Yeah, Bette won't mind.
Heh. I missed that until Hec's post. And then I thought about Betty Paige, who had a heart attack today.....
Anyway, I'm going to attempt sleep again. Thanks y'all....
I love "Republicans for Voldemort"
I have that bumper sticker. I love it, too.
Am I being naive?
Probably am, huh.
Probably. sorry. My parents' home was in a slightly more populated area, but still fairly isolated, and we got our car stolen from out of our driveway one night. That was the year we put actual locks on the doors.
G'night, tommyrot. Hope you feel better when you wake up.
