Everybody dies, Tracey. Someone's carrying a bullet for you right now, doesn't even know it. The trick is to die of old age before it finds you.

I am starting to get very jealous of you Sara! Dang! I mean, one thing to be all "Ooh, she gets to be somewhere cool", but jealous of even the plane flights and the food? That's not right.

tiggy, I take it this is not a planned and hoped-for sort of pregnancy? Oh dear. Is she just hitting the "oh good lord" at the moment, or has she had some time to think? Is there help in the picture? (Is there still a prospect of losing the job?) Eep! Hairpats indeed!

brillig

Did anyone else know that members of the Salvation Army are not allowed to marry outside the group?

[link]

One of their "officers" could lose his job if he goes forward with marrying someone not in the group.

I had no idea they were that hardnosed.

planned? not at all. hoped for? definitely in that "i want more kids" way, but i don't think now was the ideal time. she just took the test tonight. she's guesstimating at about 3 weeks or so.

Is there help in the picture?

the boyfriend wants to marry her, but she's been burned by the whole marrying because she's pregnant thing.

Is there still a prospect of losing the job?

they let 66 people go yesterday. she thinks she's probably safe at least until the new year. after that, who knows?

tiggy, best of luck? I don't have any concrete advice to offer, but aunthood is fun?

meara, I'm almost jealous of myself. Trips into google are to remind me this is real and what I should explore.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, tiggy. Although if I were pregnant and not getting married, I'd be pretty happy to be living with my sister, I bet...

A fire alarm just went off in my building, possibly in the hallway. I stuck my head out and didn't smell anything, and now it's stopped, so it's safe to ignore, right?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Two years ago today I went to Wanna House and met face to face a bleary eyed boy who was in the middle of his nap. It hasn't all been easy, but it most certainly has all been worth it. I thankful for this place and the people here for helping and celebrating with me.
