Could I solicit some help from Spanish-reading members of the hive mind?
Please tell me if
Los miembros que recibieron servicio con X en 1987 y 2007 recibirán cheques de reembolso por margen este mes.
says
Members who received service from X (or had service with X) in 1987 and 2007 will receive margin refund checks this month.
Preferably in a way that's not embarrassing.
I can kind of read Spanish. Producing sentences is quite another thing.
That reminds me of a friend who had a nanny from South America and was struggling to call up her high school Spanish. She said, "We communicate mostly in the infinitive."
Timelies all!
My normal lunch is rather dull. It's a turkey or chicken breast sandwich. (Occasionally I go to the nearby cafeteria and get a CLT sandwich, which is a cheese sandwich with lettuce and tomato)
I just turned on the puppy cam and one of the puppies snorgled the webcam. Giant puppy nose for the win.
What's your default lunch?
Heh. Um.
Used to be, my default lunches were a turkey sandwich, chicken burrito, or pad see eiw.
Dylan is on the kitchen floor in front of me playing with a set of furniture casters (you know, those things you put under the couch to make it not scratch up the floor). He has been kept occupied by this for at least ten minutes. If I'd known it was this easy I'd have bought all his toys at Home Depot.
It's not for nothing that the Toy Hall of Fame has officially inducted The Box and The Stick as toys of significance.
I have known several toddlers whose favorite toy was Tupperware.
One of the partners just came into my office to introduce a partner from DC who will be working here for a bit.
I had my ipod on and was watching the puppy cam.
oops.
Los miembros que recibieron servicio con X en 1987 y 2007 recibirán cheques de reembolso por margen este mes.
You want to change the last part to cheques de reembolso del margen en este mes.
Another word for refund is also devolución, but I think reembolso might be more correct.
I remember seeing that sort of thing, about cleaning the bowels, in several hygiene books from about 1900-1920.
That wasn't just one book: it was part of an entire series.
To support this kind of teaching this series of books on Hygiene has been prepared. A book is provided for each elementary school year from the Fourth to the Eighth inclusive ; in addition there is, for older girls, a hygiene dealing particularly with the care of little children and the health factors of home life, and, for the older elementary children and for vocational and industrial high schools, a Hygiene for the Worker.
