This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

...how is it a GOOD thing to suspend parliament? How is it even an OK thing? Or an allowable thing?? It seems very sketchy to me. I mean...good lord. They can DO that?

Well, didn't we suspend Congress for a while? And I know there's been various legislative lockouts and such (I recall TX Rangers being sent to hunt down TX House members who were hiding to avoid a vote).

(I recall TX Rangers being sent to hunt down TX House members who were hiding to avoid a vote).

They ran away to NM!

It still cracks me up.

hip deep in pie

I have found a couple of ebay auctions now with the pink ornament, but I think we still have that one. (Or I broke it only recently.)

Also, the prices for vintage ornaments on Etsy are insane!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I guess it's the Parliamentary equivalent of being on a break.

Does the Parlaiment get to sleep with other legislative bodies? Or is that cheating?

brillig

"I begged the Governor General to hit Pause on Parliament, because I was afraid they were going to vote and say they don't like me!"

Yeah, that's a plan to win friends and gain influence.

Now tagless for your comfort.

DH just bought himself two fine guage merino wool v-neck sweaters. I had no idea he had such great taste. He should really shop more often.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I guess it's the Parliamentary equivalent of being on a break.

We were ON A BREAK!!

Me, too! I tend to not think of the business of politics as being so overtly dramatic, so it's fun when that stuff happens.
