Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

hip deep in pie

You guys are making me sad that I don't have any black ornaments. And I can't buy any more ornaments!

At least that is my position until the after Xmas sales.

I don't have the cozy, alas. But it is glass with a metal base, which puts it before my time. Which is funny. It'd only be better if it weren't so 70s, but the 60s model in stainless my parents had (and killed.)

Sue, your tree is beautiful!

Go pink, Perkins.

My blender is pretty surely older than I am. More reliable, too. Ha.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I have the 60's model. Works great.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

They took away the puppies bed, so all of them are piled up in the cage.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Since I am going fake, why not really really fake?

This is why I have a vintage bright green aluminum tree.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I vote bats on a pink tree. But that's me. And I am treeless.

I would SO do this. If we didn't already do bats on a white sparkly fake tree. Plus, Pete would never ever agree to a pink fake tree. Dammit. I wonder if I could talk him into pink satin bows on the white sparkly tree ....

New Yorkers:

On every Saturday evening in December, Brooklyn's acclaimed restaurant and wine bar TEMPO will very graciously donate ALL of its profits to Modest Needs. At the end of your meal -- a special, $42 prixe-fixe menu -- your check will show exactly how much you contributed to Modest Needs and will even serve as a valid receipt for tax deduction.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's cool.
