Just got an e-mail from my boss. We've been concerned about potential layoffs in our department, but it looks like we're currently running under budget and another department pulled out their ax and laid off nine people, so we're most likely safe for the time being. I can definitely kiss off any potential raise, even one for inflation, which I wasn't expecting anyway.
