I'd suggest writing a letter or email and state that if the facilities are not operative in 24 or 48 hours you'll be sending your laundry out and deducting the expense from the rent. And then do so.

I didn't realize low entropy resulted in the distinction between past and future! I don't even know what that means, really.
Though there does seem to be some implication that we wouldn't have to go to work today if Lee were more entropic yesterday.

tommyrot, I know it's annoying, but I have to disagree with the advice about withholding rent. Generally, to legally repair & withhold the problem has to be much more than annoying, but actually a threat to your health, make the apt unfit for occupation, etc, even if something is covered in the lease.
