Help me, hive mind! I was planning on making stir-fried green beans with a balsamic/mustard sauce. The beans are supposed to be cooked in bacon fat, but we just remembered our nephew is now keeping Kosher and is not eating pork. What oil/fat should I use to add a little taste to them? Olive oil? Butter?
Olive oil -- butter would be nummy, but he won't be able to have it with a meat meal. Oil is bisexual.
Yep-- the olive oil or if you have any nut oils, like sesame.
Olive oil it is! Thanks.
ZZZZZZZZZ.
Is Tom in a turkey coma?
I have spinach lasagne and squash in the oven, and asiago bread waiting to be warmed. I flout tradition.

I don't think I'll make it by suppertime. Maybe next year.
Deep fried turkey is moist and delcious. As is cranberry (whole), green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread stuffing and homemade pumpkin cheesecake with fresh whipped cream.
I'm getting ready to join Tom Scola in a food coma.
