Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

I'm finally adding friends to my Facebook since a couple of college friends contacted me. So, you know, Jennifer P**** is me, just so y'all know - not some creepy stalker.

Well...

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

And they smell delicious, but we have to wait for them to cool before we eat them.

What kind of insane troll logic is that? You have to eat at least one cookie when it's so hot that you have to transfer it from hand to hand.

I see the supermarket has once again brought the candied fruit out. I have a theory that all the candied fruit was made in 1960 and stored in a warehouse. They just dust it off and put it out again each year. Thanksgiving appears to have about 10 square feet of space, and the rest is all Christmas, all the time.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I heard this on Weekend Edition today and it made me tear up. If you are still looking for things to make you tear up about the election that is.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Kat, I made up my mind I wasn't going to cry, no matter what I read. I made it to the next to last sentence.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Cookies were good but a bit dry, as shortbread can be sometimes. Then again they ate the whole batch so I'm guessing they were good enough.

It's funny how many things have made me tear up this election. Who knew I was such a pushover? The one who got me twice was the 109 year old woman from Texas, daughter of a former slave.

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

We had dinner with Polgara tonight. It wasn't the best dinner ever (sorry, Polgara! The shrimp was good but I was a fail at sides).

Crazy talk, dinner was made of awesome! And the company was all the sides it needed.

Oh god, that piece had me on the edge of my seat, near tears, the whole time I was listening to it. I wanted to be mad at him the whole time, and then the finish? I was ashamed of my mad.

I can't find one of my favorite cartoons so far, not online. It is a Barling, with a grinning Lincoln tipping aside a paper that reads"Obama Wins!" "First Black President." And it is labelled "The Happiest Republican."

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Which reminds me that I heard about a Parrot Rescue Sanctuary that will let you adopt a parrot for moderate cost... if you first volunteer for 3-6 months so they can judge how you relate to the birds and know enough to care for them. It's in RI, a good hour and a half away, otherwise I'd seriously consider volunteering -- I'd either get my fascination with parrots either extinguished by the reality of cleaning up after them et cetera or I'd feel I had a good idea of just what owning one would entail.
