Yeah, the puppy cam people didn't tell anybody. A co-worker noticed the puppies on the owner's computer and asked for the ULR and it spread from there....

Why do kids want to mess with cars? When I was probably 8 or 9 my friends and I one day decided to stand on opposite sides of a street and as a car approached suddenly act like we were pulling on opposite ends of a (completely imaginary) rope. We did cause a few people to slam on their brakes. We're lucky we didn't cause an accident.

That's the really crazy part. Tons of people out there post stuff online just *begging* for their 15 seconds of fame, and it never happens.

The wonderful part, however, is that the owners are responsible and recommend that people research breeds AND (if applicable) the breeders, prior to deciding on a pet.

See, that's what's impressed me all along. This couple really knows what they're doing when it comes to raising a litter.

I was spanked a bit as a child (not frequently, I didn't misbehave much), and generally don't think it did any harm. My dad went overboard when I was throwing a tantrum as a toddler once, but Mom and he Had Words after that and she decided when a spanking was called for from that point on. (He'd run afoul of their divergent views on spanking when I was very young, and discovered that a tiny 100 lb. woman can overpower a much larger Army-trained man and bodily throw him out of the house if her mama lion instinct is triggered.)

When I see my neighbor, who has now become Obama's deputy chief of staff, I find it very difficult not to throw myself at him and beg him to take me with him to work. Or my DH. I'd settle for my DH going to work for the hawt president man.

I'm going to miss the puppy-pack, even if we can see the individuals.

edit: I was spanked a few times by my father, as were my sisters. When we were adults, and said something about it (casually, not accusing) my mother was shocked -- she never knew. Like lisah, we had no bedtime, curfew and we were never grounded. We were just made to feel my parents' disappointment in our behavior, and we lost their trust. It was surprisingly effective.
