Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

My mother grounded me, but it's kinda hard to enforce if you're never home.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Mom only tried to ground us once (for lying to her about going to church while she was out of town for work, not because we had a party that weekend--she didn't find out about that until a few years ago), and my sister ended up going out with her friends that night anyway, so it wasn't all that successful.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

what originally prompted me to ask about legality was, what if someone was spanking their kid in public? Of course, if it's not illegal here, would anyone make a big deal of it?

This is not Magritte's birthday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Of course, my best friend in high school had a curfew and was frequently grounded and I think my folks figured her being punished punished me also.

That was my problem my senior year in high school! Although my best friend didn't get grounded, but she did always have a ridiculous curfew.

Speaking of whom, I haven't seen her in years, but I just got a random postcard from her, and now I feel like I should call over Thanksgiving. But I don't really want to. And I'm sure if I don't reach out to her, she won't call me either, since by virtue of the postcard, it is now "my turn." @@

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Ha, I am leaving at 4:30! Pbbbbbht. Of course, I got here at 7:45, so the gloating is unwarranted.

However, right after work I am going to Target to buy Skull pajamas!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to keep saying it because we are trying to bring things back online and it isn't going well. And the person we need most to speak to is unreachable. And their backup quit 2 weeks ago.
