That's kind of why RDJ occurred to me-- I can see him how Hammett described Nick Charles.

I have a kitten. Thankfully box trained. But OH MY GOD the drama with him, even not counting Devi. Baby pets= intense craxy.

my first really hated person from highschool friended me on fb. I am such a wuss that I accepted it, my school was too damn small and it was too long ago.

A bronzer I never heard of friended me on fb so I accepted thinking it was a buffista I didn't recognize. But no. It's someone who has absolutely no idea who I am nor do I know her. Doh. I should be more discerning, right? But I have a ton of students and former-students on there so how discerning am I really?

if I can't figure out who someone is, I'll ask once, then after a day or two, ignore them.

The other night (late) the puppies were being introduced to an INCREDIBLY tolerant large black cat.

Mostly by climbing all over the cat until the cat got rescued and then put back down, rinse and repeat.

I have to admit there are a couple of people on my FL that I am assuming are Buffistas, since we have 30 or 40 Buffista friends in common, but I can't place there profile to who they are on B.org.

ION, what I thought was a migraine hangover is actually the flu. I spent three hours this evening with the chills and another three hotter than hell. I am only starting to level out now, thanks to some ginger tea and Tylenol. I am not a happy camper.

Work weirdness, good and bad.

Good: I have vacation hours to use up.

Bad: They won't let us schedule time off around Thanksgiving and Christmas the same way we can the rest of the year, which is up to 90 days in advance through a workforce planning and scheduling tool online in our company intranet.

Good: A month ago, we were informed we could request time off around the holidays by e-mail to our supervisor(s). I did that.

Bad: Never heard back regarding requested time off.

Good: Thanksgiving is a company holiday with paid time off.

Better: The Friday after Thanksgiving is a company holiday with paid time off.

Best: My work week is currently 10-hour days Monday through Thursday. November 28th will be 10 hours of overtime pay, and I don't have to go to work! Yay, $$$!

Good: It turns out they granted my request for paid time off before Thanksgiving.

Bad: They never told me it had been approved. I only discovered it when I happened to check the schedule before going home tonight. Hey! I could have made plans if only you'd given me some notice!

Worse: The supervisor who scheduled the time off didn't notice that the training department had stuck it's oar in. "Well, at first I gave you Monday off, but it turns out you have to come in from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for this department training session we're having. Yes, that's the only time you can do it. No, you can't work the other six hours. Sorry about that."

So my long weekend is going to be a little longer than I thought, but not as long as it might have been. I can stand it, I just wish it had been arranged better.

I wonder if it wouldn't have been better to introduce only one or two puppies to the kitty?

(But I wish I had seen that anyway - do they have that on one of the videos they've got on the site?)
