Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I wonder what the guy who wrote Dow 35000 is doing right this second....

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

There was a big mall near where I live that died pretty quickly. Mostly from crime I think, people stopped thinking it was safe to go there and it died very quickly. There was a rather large strip mall and big box stores around it and they all died off a few years latter as well. Not much there now.
This happened here, too. although I think it was more a perception of crime, since it was the only one of the local malls that was easy to get to by bus, and there were many more people of color there than the people who lived around the mall were used too. Ah, racism.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

As of September 2008, Hassett was serving as an economic advisor to John McCain's Presidential campaign.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

There was a big mall near where I live that died pretty quickly.

Bannister Mall? I used to work there. It opened in 1980 and I believe it was the largest indoor mall at that time. I remember hearing the crime stories in the late '80s/early 90's. Much like my high school's reputation, the rumors were much worse than the reality.

The mall was too big to survive on only the local population. When it opened, people from the surrounding suburbs and rural areas would come to the mall on weekends. A combination of fear (sometimes fed by racism), WalMart opening more stores in the suburbs and the growth of suburban shopping centers all worked against the continued viability of the mall. The fear really irritates me.

You can't make up anything better than that.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Gosh, why am I not surprised about the guy being part of the McCain campaign?

I can't get the puppies cam to work, which makes me very sad on a day when I could use a little cheer.

45 more minutes until I can leave. And considering I haven't even gotten a single update since 3, I'm expecting it is for naught. OTOH, I think I'd rather be here unneeded than needed for this....

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

There was a full on puppy brawl just a minute ago. Now they're wandering around all dazed.

Oh God! One of them just flipped out like mammal! I am crying with laughter.
