The SF Chronicle review made me snort coffee:

"Twilight" has a few gory plot turns - mostly offscreen - and one near-sex scene that may offend a few Amish people, but the rest is maybe 33 percent less wholesome than "High School Musical." It's almost certainly less risque than what you were watching when you were 14. (Cue the soundtrack to "Risky Business.")

Heh, my sons have been threatening to kidnap and force me to watch Twilight. They reason that I am a girl and like vampire stuff therefore must really secretly want to see it. They report that the fans they go to school with are very scary.

Very late, Tom, but as a Rochestarian who has visited toronto in the dead of winter, they are awesome at snow removal and clean-up and keeping things not yucky. You can totally tell the difference between the US and Canada clean-up efforts as you cross the border. I once rode back from Toronto is a blizzard, and they were still keeping it clean!
I skipped a whole bunch but I have to say, except for the time they had to call out the army because of the snow.
(As a Canadian, it's my duty to mock Toronto for that incident.)
It could be way worse Tom, it could have been Ottawa or Winnepeg.

that's a lot of Mountain Dew.
We had our first slush storm yesterday. I had to dig out my winter boots and gloves this morning. Only I had forgotten that the pull tab on the zipper of one of my boots had broken last winter and I had been using a paper clip to pull the zipper up. It's not like I didn't have 7 months to get those fixed.
