A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

This convo reminds me to buy really red hair dye this weekend. Job search over, casual work place YAY!

Also, Hec, am still at chin length and holding. Am also still angled bob with a deep side part on the right, and since this is the haircut I had in 1990, bar the perm and blonde color, I am ignoring tired trends. It's a CLASSIC.

And I had a jaw-drop double take when I told a new co-worker I was 36 today. It was either muy flattering, or I am really immature. I can't decide.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Take it as flattering, Erin.

I had a nurse put the heavy moves on me, and to his credit he barely slowed down when he found out I was 14 years older than he'd thought. Of course I lied and told him I was seeing someone, because hitting on people 12mg down the dilaudid hole isn't kosher.

What a crappy person, ita. I'm sorry.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hulk smash ita's nurse, and Kat's ex doctor.

The puppies with the octopus thing may be the cutest thing ever.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Juliana's next look

Heh. I doubt I'll be moving away from the bangs-in-face aesthetic anytime soon - it's just the back that gets shorter.

This convo reminds me to buy really red hair dye this weekend.

I would like to put in a pimp for Walgreen's SPLAT! semi-perm red, as well as the permanent dye High Definition in Ruby (from Dark & Lovely, so you need to look in the "ethnic" section). I need to take pictures, but my hair is currently at that bright cherry red I so love.

Our wings are not tired.

but my hair is currently at that bright cherry red I so love.

I do, too. It's super purty.

I've often been tempted by the great reds in the black hair care, but wondered if it would fry my fine straight hair.

Feria's Cardinal gives me a nice red I like, but I've been playing pretty straight and narrow for a while. I'd like a little jazzier.

You think I'd be cool with the Dark and Lovely?

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Anyone still up (in inside pants or otherwise)? I tweaked my back badly and resorted to taking a leftover Vicodin earlier, and then my brain decided that this would be a good night for insomnia. I can't take even half of an Ambien because of potential interactions, so I'm lying here staring at the ceiling. I have student-led conferences all day tomorrow, no regular classes, and I have to be at work even earlier than usual as a result. The first conference is at 7:30, so my alarm will be going off in just over five hours. Not the end of the world and certainly nothing compared to having to spend the night in the ER, but I'm feeling frustrated.

Eta: ita, I can't believe the nurse hit on you knowing you were being medicated. What an ass. I hope you're away from him and feeling better now.

Eta2: I'm going to try to sleep again. Night (or day), all.

Lord, but she was exquisite.

ita, that nurse needs to be smacked upside the head. Hard.

Burrell and Plei, thanks for the input-- I think might at least try going somewhere between the two, which of course is counter to what all the mags tell you to do, which is go lighter in the summer, darker in winter. Contrary. That's me.

Kristin, I hope you're sleeping the sleep of the angels.
