Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

ION, I'm just back from Matilda's two year old check up.

She's 24 lbs and 33 inches, so about 15 percentile for height and weight. She is "beautifully proportioned" and speaking way over her age level. In fact, she's the most articulate two year old in his practice. (She can say five or six word sentences and have a conversation with you.)

Everything went swimmingly until the flu shot. But she was appeased with a bagel with cream cheese, JZ snuck off without causing a separation anxiety stir, and Matilda's now at daycare where she can sleep off her shot (I hope).

The answer I want is WHY is that book out of print? It's a travesty.

Sinbad's usually not too hard to find, but the sequels are rare and expensive.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sally’s parents wondered if she might be a lesbian.

Nnnooooooo! Why must all my childhood crushes turn out to be lesbians?

Signed, still not over Zelda Gilroy....

WHERE? I don't care about the sequels. Never actually read anything but the original.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That's some good people-making, Hec and JZ.

And I'm still searching for a copy of Sinbad & Me.

Ah! The book that turned me on to architecture! I adore that book! I think I have a paperback of it in the garage.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Danny Dunn

Oh, I clicked on that link excited, thinking I might see that one of the children books here, named very similarly, is this.

But no.

We have Danny Din, the invisible kid.

Seriously connie, I would buy it off you. Or name a beloved pet, or something.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

(She can say five or six word sentences and have a conversation with you.)

When I visited last year, when she was at 15 months, she wanted to have conversations too. Except that she could only make babble noises.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Clearly, you need to come back, Tom.
