I just had a positive experience at a department store makeup counter! I was scared and ready to talk the salewoman down, especially because I opened with, "I would like to be sold some makeup." But no! She sold me something that seems in between foundation and tinted moisturizer, and some blush (maybe unnecessary? we'll see), and that was all she was going to do. I said I needed some lipstick, too, and she came out with the perfect color. Sweet. I was really ready for her to tell me I needed 50 products.

I love those experiences, jesse. They are few and far between in my shopping life.
I was in the garage looking for my die cut machine (shut up all of you!) and instead I found a box of my skinny clothes. Yes. There is no chance that I will fit in Size 4 pants again. But the size 6 denim skirt from Talbots fit. The Size 8 Jeans from Ann Taylor, also fit.
WOOT. It was like a brand new wardrobe that needs to be laundered.
Noah also got to ride a trike on the trike track. So cute. Until he exhausted himself into sleep.

I kid you not, a woman here just asked if she could have her pictures for free because she lost her wallet.
'Tis the season... Lewis was filling out the Sheriff's Dept. pawn forms yesterday for a customer who was selling games at the store (a requirement for all Game Stop stores) and the customer's mother was one of those people who lives to make life hell for everyone. Accused Lewis of being some sort of shyster because "not every store does that and I want the number of your district manager because I want to ask about this and is this legal and..."
And when Lewis said that he would pass along her complaints she said "Good-- you'd better. I spent an hour on the phone with the district manager for Taco Bell yesterday because they have the nerve to be charging twenty-five cents for a cup of water."
