Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kat wouldn't let me administer her IM meds. I'd totally have been fast and gentle.

Tonight is another insomnia night, I fear. Melatonin ain't it.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I feared your obviously glee, ita, at the idea of sticking me.

Man. I hated those shots.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I may have all kinds of physical woes, but small veins aren't one of them.

Unfortunately, haven't passed the blood iron test for donation for a couple years now. But then I find the finger-poke for the drop of blood to be more traumatic than the phlebotomy itself.

One way to get through needle-sticks is to bite down on a finger -- I find that the mild pain distracts one wonderfully or possibly sets up some feedback to confuse the brain's pain receptors. It's too bad you can't do that for novacaine injections at the dentist's.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I dig my fingernails into myself.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Needles don't bother me, as long as the person with the needle is competent.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Interesting that people mention tattoos - my lizard brain doesn't recognize those as needles, because the physical sensation is so different.

I'm mostly over my needlephobia these days, but I obviously still project enough tension that nurses always ask "Are you afraid of needles?" Dude, if I am, do you really think stopping to talk about it while you've already tied off the vein and raised the syringe is going to help? Just fucking stab me already!!

The one time I had to get Novocaine injections at the dentist, they gave me nitrous first. I think they could have pulled out all 4 teeth with no anesthetic at all and I wouldn't have cared.

In Things That Make Me Hate Humans news, I had to throw away an empty 40 and a handful of cigarette butts in the playground this morning.

I have a textbook-perfect reaction to Nitrous Oxide, and if I could only get dentists around here to use it, I'd never have another Novacaine injection.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Due to excessive laziness, I didn't go to the library yesterday, even though I've read all my books. But the midtown branch is open today! Sweet! And I can do some shopping when I'm down there. And actually, due to train repairs, the one I will have to take into the city goes right there.

While you're out can you fill my prescription, Jesse? I don't think I'm leaving home today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sure! I'll swing by in like three days?
