Skipping from the other end of shabbat, to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is sumi's birthday.

Happy birthday, sumi! With lot of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Power just came back on, soot is everywhere.

Here in (not so) Sunnyside, the beautiful has not fully reached us - still pretty overcast.

Nilly, the radio in the waiting room at mac's appt every Fri is playing Shabbot services and I always think of you.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Sumi!

Soot doesn't sound good.

We're under a tornado watch!

There was a squirrel on my balcony. SOMETHING had rooted around in one of my flower pots and made a mess. Then I come out of the bedroom, and there is a squirrel running along the railing and climbing down to the pots. Devi was FASCINATED. It sat out there, scolding us. I expect it will be back, it is sitting out in the pine, still scolding.

I think I've done my benefit enrollment. Still not sure if I put enough or too little in the FSA. Better than last year, though...

My nephew is guilt tripping me. He called, with one thing in mind: When are you coming to visit?

ARHG!!

Oh, how lovely!

Now I wonder, of course, which songs they play, and which versions (there are so many!).

“Not dead yet!”

Happy Birthday, sumi!

After about a week of too warm weather and a pretty good rainstorm this morning, a cold front is coming through late this afternoon and tonight-- we're going to have a thirty-five degree swing in temperatures, but by tomorrow, we'll have highs in the low sixties and lows in the mid-forties. And sunny!

Autumn weather! Yay!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Neither soot nor tornado sound good.

We were just out at S's bookstore when the wind blew out a bunch of power transformers and the whole neighborhood went dark. But I'll take it over soot and tornadoes.
