Oh yeah, in Madison, Huber was the cheap-ass beer everyone drank. Except when Huber Bock was available. The joke was that Huber Bock was what they got when they scraped out the bottoms of the brewing vats....

Yuengling was what people who knew better drank when I was in college.
Of course, I really knew better, and didn't drink much beer at all. The occasional Rolling Rock, maybe.

I KNEW I had failed to remember a cheap beer from high school!
shudder

Of course, I didn't hang out with beer-drinking types in high school. I had to wait till college. God knows what was in those kegs.

High school - Wine coolers (ugh) and MGD (Miller Genuine Draft)
College - Whatever was cheap/free
When I was in college, it was Dixie. It was a New Orleans thing.
What is PBR?
Megan, its like Twinkies for grown-ups...
Didn't drink in HS. In college in Virginia it was Beast, in NYC it was Rolling Rock. Now in improv circles I come across a LOT of PBR. It's like beer-flavored soda.
High school - Wine coolers (ugh)
My high school GF used to drink wine coolers, but her fave was blackberry brandy.
She used to get mad at me because I didn't drink. Later, she got mad when I got drunk once and she wasn't there. She tried to find some people to beat me up.

Mudbugs and Dixie beer!
