I, for one, wasn't looking forward to starting my day with a slaughter. Which, really, just goes to show how much I've grown

tommy, so sorry for your flood! If it's chilly, your clothes could probably last overnight - if you hang them up to dry it'll help. Also, if you have a fan, it'll help dry things out.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'd be more worried about mildew under the carpet. Do you have a de-humidifier?

Nope. Right now I have windows open. When it's cold out, it tends to get rather dry in the apartment. Hopefully that will dry things up quickly.

In re Obama - the local news had an interview with his brother in law last night. He talked about when the two were first together; commented that he was checking the guy out as a possible husband for his little sister, not a future president, so he was really serious. At one point they were playing basketball and he as impressed with Obama being a team player and that he didn't always pass the ball to him, trying to impress him.

we do not have matching sweaters. we have matching "Life is Good" and "Obama 08" shirts, but we don;t wear them at the same time.

Ann, that's a ferret.

It helps, but keep an eye on things. And second the idea of hanging clothes up to dry.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, tommyrot, that sucks. Vibing dry~ma to your violin and your clothes especially -- to everything, definitely, but especially those.

Re Obama: even as a rabid coffee drinker, I can accept and understand that some people just don't drink it. I can even allow as how those people can even be my president. But hating ice cream? Wha-huh? Just like him, I had a summer job at B-R as a teenager, but it did not lessen my love of the stuff, not even one little bit. Because it was a very hot summer and we had a lot of rather ill-behaved customers (and one horrid co-worker), I lost quite a bit of love for my fellow human beings that summer. But ice cream? Unpossible!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Maybe he's developed lactose sensitivity? I don't eat ice cream (except in dire hormone-related circumstances) because of that. Well, that, and I vastly prefer sorbet or plain frozen juice.

Dry, tommyrot, dry!

Many viewers want to buy the puppies, but they're all already spoken for.

"All puppies are cute. Do your research on the breed to make sure that it is the right fit for your lifestyle and personality," the dog's owner advises. "Remember, this is a commitment for life so don't take these steps lightly."

Every now and then, people need to be reminded of this fundamental fact: "All puppies are cute."

ION, I wish I could do laundry tonight. But the landlord's in the midst of redoing the laundry room, so my only option is a laundromat. And I think I'll be home too late to do that tonight....

What a horrid first-world dilemma: Risk my clothes, or miss fiddle class....

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Right now I have windows open. When it's cold out, it tends to get rather dry in the apartment.

Current humidity is 68% with rain forecast for tonight.
