Wesley: We were fighting on opposite sides, but it was the same war. Fred: but you hated her…didn't you? Wesley: It's not always about holding hands.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

GAARRRRRRRGGGHHHH.

Ok, venty mcventerson...I have to get hired by the school district, too. Apparently, the 3.5/4.5 split is actually TWO jobs, not just a pay split. WHich is kinda the way it was explained to me. I though the interview with the district was more of a formality. Guess it's not.

I still feel pretty good about it, being Ms. Highly Qualified, but I still won't know till next WEDNESDAY if I have 1/2 a job or...um, 2 1/2 jobs.

Also? It really sucks being asked "What's your current position?" and fumbling. I caught myself pretty quickly and said I've been recovering from an opertation, but trying to find an education job in August, Sept, and October is difficult. And then I added, "Sending out lots of resumes and reading 17th century biographies."

Is that a bad answer? Cause it sounds dorktastic, but it's TRUE.

GAAARRRRGGGHHH.

I just want a little CERTAINTY. No, I want a lot. Living on the edge...Aerosmith was WRONG, goddammit.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

On the other hand, the banana bread with chocolate and caramel chips and served with the double devon cream pretty much rocked.

Dear me. That sounds wonderful.

I've got sweet potatoes roasting in the oven and will put the pork roast in when the potatoes are done. It smells great in here.

Oh no! So, one part of the job wants you for sure, now you have to interview and get hired by the other part? Is that right?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Any word on why she didn't drive away.

I don't know. I was getting this from a fellow neighbor who was warning me to be careful.

Thrive to spite them

I had one of the stupidest questions yesterday.

A business owner called saying he was having trouble faxing something.

After repeating the number, with area code, he asked if he had to dial 1 first.

I was polite, I asked if he was local, before saying that yes, yes he does.

not your mom's socks.

yes, yes he does.

amazingly that is almost* the same metric rhythm as 'the stupid, burns."

  • yes David, I know. But it should be.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

{{{{Bev}}}} I'm not online nearly as much as I used to be, either, but I want you to know I'm thinking of you and wishing you well. We're here, love.

Erika, I'm sorry you got bad news.

Erin, yay (almost) hired! I'm sure it will be official next week.

Selling~ma, Nicole!

I luvre cranberry sauce. I used to be all about the canned stuff, but last year I found a really good homemade recipe and now am completely converted. I'll be making it again this Thanksgiving.

Ginger, that's freaky. Askye, some people are beyond stupid.

I worked yesterday and today, but I'm only a week-and-a-half away from a WHOLE WEEK OFF. Praise the gods. Also, my mom arrives on Friday for 10 days! Yay! She's going to help us get Drew moved into his new digs (we're renting the back house on our property and turning it into his office and a small recording studio). Lots and lots of house rearranging is in our future, which is hectic but very good.

My morning began with a truly foul canine bodily fluids situation, which was not good. The dog will be getting rice tonight, oh yes she will.

Our wings are not tired.

I am bummed that I did not get pictures with Jilli, Pete, Kristin or Drew or Sean this weekend! How did that happen?

Erin, so happy to hear your (almost) job news!

Kristin, good thing Zoe's so cute, or you'd have to ship her up to me to live!
