Wash: Captain, didn't you know kissin' girls makes you sleepy? Mal: Well sometimes I just can't help myself.

'Our Mrs. Reynolds'

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Any word on why she didn't drive away.

I don't know. I was getting this from a fellow neighbor who was warning me to be careful.

Thrive to spite them

I had one of the stupidest questions yesterday.

A business owner called saying he was having trouble faxing something.

After repeating the number, with area code, he asked if he had to dial 1 first.

I was polite, I asked if he was local, before saying that yes, yes he does.

not your mom's socks.

yes, yes he does.

amazingly that is almost* the same metric rhythm as 'the stupid, burns."

  • yes David, I know. But it should be.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

{{{{Bev}}}} I'm not online nearly as much as I used to be, either, but I want you to know I'm thinking of you and wishing you well. We're here, love.

Erika, I'm sorry you got bad news.

Erin, yay (almost) hired! I'm sure it will be official next week.

Selling~ma, Nicole!

I luvre cranberry sauce. I used to be all about the canned stuff, but last year I found a really good homemade recipe and now am completely converted. I'll be making it again this Thanksgiving.

Ginger, that's freaky. Askye, some people are beyond stupid.

I worked yesterday and today, but I'm only a week-and-a-half away from a WHOLE WEEK OFF. Praise the gods. Also, my mom arrives on Friday for 10 days! Yay! She's going to help us get Drew moved into his new digs (we're renting the back house on our property and turning it into his office and a small recording studio). Lots and lots of house rearranging is in our future, which is hectic but very good.

My morning began with a truly foul canine bodily fluids situation, which was not good. The dog will be getting rice tonight, oh yes she will.

Our wings are not tired.

I am bummed that I did not get pictures with Jilli, Pete, Kristin or Drew or Sean this weekend! How did that happen?

Erin, so happy to hear your (almost) job news!

Kristin, good thing Zoe's so cute, or you'd have to ship her up to me to live!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I am seriously thinking of starting my ph.d program in the new year . But so many fascinating possibl areas of study!

Aw, Erin, that's lame! But fingers crossed it all works out and you get both half jobs. Hrmph. Stupid them all getting it complicated! I was all ready to squee for you until I saw the rest of your postage!

I had a very frustrating day with people who don't do things quite right and then get snippy at me when I imply they are not going everything quite up to spec, and refuse to change. Either do it right the first time, or change it when I ask. Don't make me sit through you being bitchy at me AND refuse to do it right BOTH times! Argh.

But I did drive over to Idaho. Now I've been there. OK, granted, just over the border, grabbed fast food lunch, and came back, but I can officially cross one more state off my list!

Ginger, that's really creepy about your neighbor!!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

vw, I make a cranberry sauce with pear and fresh ginger, I think I got it in the Cook's Illustrated Book of Best Recipes. It's super easy and OMG so yum. Let me know if you want the exact recipe.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Cereal:

But we just got back from breakfast at Zazie's where Matilda had the seasonal-only pumpkin spice pancakes. JZ had the Eggs St. Trop (poached egg on an english muffin, lox, onions, hollaindaise capers) and I had the Eggs Pascal (scrambled with prawns, avocado slices on top, and salsa fresca).

My jebus, I love Zazie's eggs. Must return soon!!

Oh, also, Tom found out that he did not get The Job that he was really excited about. Bah.
