Aren't they something. They're like butterflies, or little pieces of wrapping paper blowing around.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Librarian Warlord

Sorry, erika.

Yay, Erin!

Someone over in HR posted the wrong text for a job we've got open here. I'm trying not to kill or maim anyone, but it's so hard.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Erin!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Erin, that's wonderful!

I usually do my cranberries with port, a healthy amount of nutmeg, and a dash of vanilla. I believe I still have a jar from last year (when I got smart, and actually canned the stuff instead of having to rush to make it before the big day).

Plei, I think you should make more of that particular recipe and can lots of it. I will buy you jars.

Am at the office. DO NOT WANT. Why am I not in the Haunted Mansion, which is clearly where I belong?

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

All kinds of sell~ma, Nicole!

I am a cooking fiend this weekend (yes, it's Tuesday, and it's still my weekend). I'm making CI's herb crusted pork roast. I hope is as tasty as it reads.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I was just trying to pull out a stuck drawer when it suddenly came loose and I smashed the hell out of my little finger.

Apparently two men accosted the woman two doors down when she was getting into her SUV at 6:30 a.m. She jumped into the car and locked the door, but they kept knocking and yelling at her until she pulled out her phone to call 911.

Hee! I love the pic of you sucking down on a drink as Pete pontificates.

ICookingN, the coffee/peppercorn marinade didn't much do it for me. I don't know if it needed to marinate longer or if I should have brewed the coffee to triple strength or what, but it simply didn't permeate the way it should have.

Still, something to keep in mind.

On the other hand, the banana bread with chocolate and caramel chips and served with the double devon cream pretty much rocked.

I'm getting the pig!

Thanks for the ~ma! I must say that it's very hard to type with crossed fingers.

DF and I bought a crock pot a few weeks ago and he's been a cooking fiend lately. I've been checking out a recipe site that is all crockpot, all the time today, and now I'm starving from reading about so much food.

She jumped into the car and locked the door, but they kept knocking and yelling at her until she pulled out her phone to call 911.

Holy cow. I'm glad she's ok. Any word on why she didn't drive away. Heck, run 'em over if she had to.

not your mom's socks.

I'm trying not to kill or maim anyone, but it's so hard.

this is me.

1. yesterday - sent a completed requisition form for a renewal that happens every year at this time. Gave instructions to the business-y person about who needed to sign it. Business-y person is who has made a number of things overly difficult lately.

2. got 4 emails today from the person who needs to sign the req because overly difficult lately lady asked her to fill out a new requisition, but couldn't say what the cost was for the renewal (which was on the form I'd completed), or what the account number was (natch). Needless to say, she didn't attach the form I'd sent either.

3. responded to signee with a copy of the requisition I'd created. laffed and laffed at her "how was this so overly complicated?!" reaction. Got message from OverlyComplicatedLady's boss that she'd complained about us being not helpful for the third time this week.

4. went back to my supposed non-Emo Craxy day. Where I'm not supposed to be working for Emo Craxy.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Plei, I think you should make more of that particular recipe and can lots of it. I will buy you jars.

Yes, please!

Why am I not in the Haunted Mansion, which is clearly where I belong?

I ask myself this same question all of the time.

This made me so happy! I'm glad you had such a wonderful time.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

GAARRRRRRRGGGHHHH.

Ok, venty mcventerson...I have to get hired by the school district, too. Apparently, the 3.5/4.5 split is actually TWO jobs, not just a pay split. WHich is kinda the way it was explained to me. I though the interview with the district was more of a formality. Guess it's not.

I still feel pretty good about it, being Ms. Highly Qualified, but I still won't know till next WEDNESDAY if I have 1/2 a job or...um, 2 1/2 jobs.

Also? It really sucks being asked "What's your current position?" and fumbling. I caught myself pretty quickly and said I've been recovering from an opertation, but trying to find an education job in August, Sept, and October is difficult. And then I added, "Sending out lots of resumes and reading 17th century biographies."

Is that a bad answer? Cause it sounds dorktastic, but it's TRUE.

GAAARRRRGGGHHH.

I just want a little CERTAINTY. No, I want a lot. Living on the edge...Aerosmith was WRONG, goddammit.
