So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What, Sox, you didn't mention I was trying to put a gallstone the size of a pingpong ball thru a duct the diameter of a pencil?

Rifftrax is Mike (and Kevin Murphy). I'm totally Joel when it comes to MST3K, but I have to give props where due.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

the NYT article was very interesting. Summary: It is complicated -- which I gotta agree with. I don't have an on/off switch.

Now tagless for your comfort.

it was oblique. apologies.

No apologies necessary! Better to err on the side of caution when you're posting medical information for someone else.

What, Sox, you didn't mention I was trying to put a gallstone the size of a pingpong ball thru a duct the diameter of a pencil?

Yikes! I've had gallbladder problems before so I totally sympathize. Did you get to see the stones?

Our wings are not tired.

Whew! Good to see you Raq--and so very grateful that you made it through the ordeal relatively unscathed. I'm sorry you had such a painful and scary thing happen!

Thrive to spite them

So Rose is hiding and hissing occasionally hissing at me.

She'll still like me, right.

brillig

Hubby had lithotripsy for kidney stones. Does that not work on gallstones?

Hey, get the stone and tell everyone it's from a cow or a rhino or whatever it is that the Chinese spend insane amounts of money for. Lends a new meaning to nest egg.

It is complicated

Yeah, no one's come that conclusion before. Although I prefer this article's stance of "lots of sex drive" to frequent cultural stances of "no sex drive."

I did get to see the stone, but not keep it. It looked like a river rock. One of the nurses said they often look like opals, so I was hoping for a pretty reminder to eat better and exercise...but I guess the hospital bill will have to do.

askye, yes. If it is any help, my parents have been trying to trap the local ferals and getting them shots and fixed. The first successful one? Now sleeps under the covers with mom at night. They didn't mean to keep her. They didn't think they would be able to, she was so insanely freaked out by being trapped, vet-ed and then confined to the bathroom while she healed up. She was completely out of her mind terrified. In that case, it took weeks, but... she's now bossing the humans around and trying to steal their food and warmth. Your Rose already knows humans are ok. Big step already done. May she sneak under your covers soon.
