Hubby had lithotripsy for kidney stones. Does that not work on gallstones?
Hey, get the stone and tell everyone it's from a cow or a rhino or whatever it is that the Chinese spend insane amounts of money for. Lends a new meaning to nest egg.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It is complicated
Yeah, no one's come that conclusion before. Although I prefer this article's stance of "lots of sex drive" to frequent cultural stances of "no sex drive."
I did get to see the stone, but not keep it. It looked like a river rock. One of the nurses said they often look like opals, so I was hoping for a pretty reminder to eat better and exercise...but I guess the hospital bill will have to do.
connie, nope. Not so much.
askye, yes. If it is any help, my parents have been trying to trap the local ferals and getting them shots and fixed. The first successful one? Now sleeps under the covers with mom at night. They didn't mean to keep her. They didn't think they would be able to, she was so insanely freaked out by being trapped, vet-ed and then confined to the bathroom while she healed up. She was completely out of her mind terrified. In that case, it took weeks, but... she's now bossing the humans around and trying to steal their food and warmth. Your Rose already knows humans are ok. Big step already done. May she sneak under your covers soon.
Glad you are back to the land of the internets, Raq. Although I don't think you and Sox should hang out that much, since it makes your bodies all wonky.
I briefly forgot the address to here and typed in buffistas.net. I was taken aback at first. A Home and Garden folder? How did I miss the angst over creating a cooking thread? Is this the world with shrimp or the world without shrimp? Silly me.
Askye, I'm sure Rose will come around. Even my skittish kitty wants some attention every now and then. Mostly she just wants to prance around in front of me or sit on my legs where I can't quite reach her but sometimes she wants actual petting.
askye, I am sure Rose will come around!
My newish kitty STILL won't sit on my lap if I am sitting up, but if I am laying down, she lays on either my bak or my stomach. But she won't lay next to me and cuddle. SO funny!
Glad you're home safe and sound, Raq. Healing ~ma to you and coping ~ma to the little guy. Oh, and care-taking ~ma to your husband. Got pets? ~Ma to them, too. No such thing as too much ~ma.
Hil, your officemate is mind-boggling.
Feel better all those with colds, etc.

He just keeps getting weirder. Or maybe the same level of weirdness, just compounding.
I still think the oddest, though, was when he asked me why Jews like sushi so much.
(I just called home and ranted to my dad about this for a while. He shared with me some stories of the crazy stuff people have said to him. It eased the frustration a bit.)
Goodness, I'm glad my favorite Raq is out of the hospital and feeling better.

?!
That reminds me--I went to a meeting with Owen's teachers a few weeks back. We'd gone to a new sushi place here in town and Owen walked right up to his teacher and said, "We ate sushi last night!" He cracks me up. He mostly loves the rice but he split a California roll with his sister and is practicing with chopsticks.
