Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Wow! Our new production made front page of the Dallas Morning News Sunday paper (below the fold)!!! [link]

Acording to Managing Director, in the 50 years of the theater, the only other time we had front page coverage is when they announced the new Artistic Director last year.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Is it hopelessly naive of me to wish deep in my heart that Michelle and Barack are as in love as that photo makes them look? Cuz I'm all for fantastic, private love stories. And if there's a goodly chunk of that man's soul that, far beyond political ambition, wants to give the world to the love of his life and have it be a legacy for their children - it might make him even more passionate to do the right things with and for this country.

Maybe I'm naive too but I don't think you can fake that.

There was also an article a few days (?) ago about the acting company. Everytime I see an article on DTC I mean to mention it, but I'm not online so much these days.

I just dropped K-Bug off at the airport. She should be winging her way back to California now-ish. Le sigh.

I should be writing. I have half of a draft for the next GCS column, and I REALLY REALLY need to turn that into a full, polished draft to send to my beta readers. But I don't waaaaaannnnaaa. I want to ... play with clothes, and maybe sew something. If any of you have motivation you don't need at the moment, could you please send it to visit me?

If I find any motivation around here, I'm going to hug it and squeeze it and call it George. I'm certainly not going to let it out of the house.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Half a draft could be a GDoc. Like a Choose Your Own Goth Adventure for your betas.

My motivation is ... not the motivation you are looking for. You'd be very disappointed when you went looking for any scrap of racing news you could find. And your sewing would suddenly be alien and confusing.

But I promise to send it back home! I just need it for a few hours ...

Okay. I am settled on the couch with the laptop, the notebook that has the half-a-draft in it (writing on the bus actually works for me, surprise!), a glass of water, and a glass of tonic and rose liqueur over ice. I just need to decide what pretty eye-candy movie to have on in the background, and then I swear, SWEAR, that I will start writing.

Right after I get done browsing eBay for wine velvet blazers, that is ...
