Mmm. Wife soup. I must've done good.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I should be writing. I have half of a draft for the next GCS column, and I REALLY REALLY need to turn that into a full, polished draft to send to my beta readers. But I don't waaaaaannnnaaa. I want to ... play with clothes, and maybe sew something. If any of you have motivation you don't need at the moment, could you please send it to visit me?

If I find any motivation around here, I'm going to hug it and squeeze it and call it George. I'm certainly not going to let it out of the house.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Half a draft could be a GDoc. Like a Choose Your Own Goth Adventure for your betas.

My motivation is ... not the motivation you are looking for. You'd be very disappointed when you went looking for any scrap of racing news you could find. And your sewing would suddenly be alien and confusing.

But I promise to send it back home! I just need it for a few hours ...

Okay. I am settled on the couch with the laptop, the notebook that has the half-a-draft in it (writing on the bus actually works for me, surprise!), a glass of water, and a glass of tonic and rose liqueur over ice. I just need to decide what pretty eye-candy movie to have on in the background, and then I swear, SWEAR, that I will start writing.

Right after I get done browsing eBay for wine velvet blazers, that is ...

Well first I have to get it into a GDoc, because right now it is scribbly handwriting in a notebook.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

My motivation is ... not the motivation you are looking for.

Ditto here. You'd be locked out of the online tools you need for your wacky creative projects, and reformulating the soup after you started cooking because you didn't have half the ingredients you thought you always kept around the house.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I have dented the cleaning that really needs to happen. But a nap might need to happen befor e more cleaning

In others words, there was motivation, but it left

Well dammit. I thought you people were supposed to keep the spare motivation?

What eye-candy movie do I want on in the background? Marie Antoinette? Bram Stoker's Dracula? Dangerous Liaisons? Valmont? The Prestige? I can't decide.

Dangerous Liaisons, for the pretty.

Clearly you have me confused with ... anyone else. I have fed myself and managed to keep tea around. This is a win for the day.

Well, now I'm waffling between that and the first PotC movie. Because pretty AND undead pirates! Yaaaaar!
