Inara: I think she looks adorable. Mal: Yeah, but I never said it.

'Shindig'

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I can kind of hear the concert from inside my apartment. Not enough to really listen, but enough so that I can identify the songs if it's something I know.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Kristin told me she knew we'd get along because we both tend to think in the gutter. She probably phrased it nicer.

You make it sound like it's a bad thing.

Got into a discussion with a Communist who called me naive. I can live with that.

LOL!

Always Anti-fascist!

Well, they lost. We can afford to be gracious.

I hear Bono!

I have no HBO, and the online feed isn't working. I'm trying to figure out what the NPR station is here, so I can listen better on that.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

lots of npr stations are in at either 89. something or 91.something.

For the first time I am actually using the radio part of my cable -- I can't get much in the way of regular radio in my house - no reception

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

A text message a friend who was in Gaza sent me (originally in English):

It is done. Apparently. I am in Israel, we will see what tomorrow brings. Stories and songs of praise will come later. Viva freedom, Viva Israel. Sweet dreams.

My boys. My friends. My generation. The stuff we'll have to cross to make something worthy out of all of this mess.

And I also got a 5 minute call from the sis. She interested on which paper I work on (Foucault) and what's the news (she only heard about the Israeli cease-fire). She'll be home for Tue/Wed, maybe. I miss her.

They're leaving a huge part of themselves behind. I hope that part isn't too big to overcome the battlefield and face reality.
