I'm going to see to Wesley, see if he's still whimpering.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

In the end, I've transfered my agita to things that really deserve it, like man's inhumanity to man, and let my militant resistance to religious/spiritual terms mellow. It all seems relatively the same to me...similar flavor, different label...and what brings comfort, I support. What rejects peace, I resist.

Thanks for sharing bonny.

I'm tired of this notcold that seems to be a cold.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{beth}}} Feel better.

I don't think my earlier post posted. I went to the chiropractor today for the first time. It went well, and I think I will continue to go back, although not next week because I am getting my wisdom teeth out next week (whimper). I even had a few glorious hours with no pain at all, which was actually kind of weird.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Feel better, beth. You too, sj.

Thanks, Windsparrow. I'm feeling kind of chipper tonight. Finding something that helps is really wonderful, and having someone promise you that he might not be able to get rid of all your pain but a large percentage of it he can help with is so encouraging.

Ooh, yay! I need to make a chiro appointment, I haven't been in way too long. I think it was helping enough that I ....stopped going. Which is a bad thing. Maintenance is good. (But chiro is EXPENSIVE for me)

Mine is going to get expensive after 12 visits, but I have a feeling I'm going to have to find some way to cover it.

Yay! I have finally gotten T to have an internet presence. She joined facebook a while ago, but now she is actually using it.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's two days into the semester, and I'm already feeling like I can't handle this.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

WTF?

WTFF?

Supreme Court Eases Limits on Evidence (Rough paraphrase: "The 'exclusionary rule' doesn't mean what it says -- the cops can gather evidence illegally and still use it, but only when we say so.")

As a Canadian friend of mine asked on another board: "What does the word 'illegal' mean in the States, anyhow?"

Legal Buffistas, help me out here: Am I reading this horribly, horribly wrong?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Those of us with below-freezing temperatures (and below-zero wind chills) are shaking our (frozen) fists in the general direction of Thailand.

Did I mention that yesterday I had to go outside at -18˚F to start my van? I wish that was a windchill...I think that was around -40.

You win at cold.

I'm not sure "win" is the right word...

Pretty much when the numbers dip in the negatives in Fahrenheit, the human body should be elsewhere.

As I left work tonight bundled up in -10˚F, heading for my van with wonky heating, to drive 50 miles through rapidly bottoming temps I had to remind myself I used to CAMP OUT in this as a teenager.

Then I reminded myself I was a couple hundred pounds lighter on my feet, the energy of even a fat teenager and, oh yes, I was *surrounded by bonfires* and, a handy nearby hunting lodge when things got really dicey.

Feh. So over winter.
