All right, yes, date and shop and hang out and go to school and save the world from unspeakable demons. You know, I wanna do girlie stuff!

Thrive to spite them

Well Montpelier is farther north than where SLNRLBF is, he's closer to Burlington. Although it's still cold there. But yeah it sounds nice and I cant' wait to get up there and see the beauty and check out the beer.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Timelies, all. Thanks for the ~ma, upthread. My dad's still in the hospital, but they've found a gram positive cocci bacteria to nuke the hell out of with antibiotics, so we're hoping for some improvement, soon. I spent Tuesday and today shuttling between Dad's apartment and the hospital, but I'm home now. Calli, that sounds like real progress.

As for me, I have found true relief: a hot toddy.

The honey and the whiskey may mess up my "avoiding refined carbs" idea, but this IS medicinal.

Of course it's medicinal!

A couple of years ago my mom's Nurse Practitioner recommended hot toddies when she was sick.

If I shop for Sephora, I do it online. I will not go back to the Sephora shop near me because of the rude way I was treated when I first went in.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

In the end, I've transfered my agita to things that really deserve it, like man's inhumanity to man, and let my militant resistance to religious/spiritual terms mellow. It all seems relatively the same to me...similar flavor, different label...and what brings comfort, I support. What rejects peace, I resist.

Thanks for sharing bonny.

I'm tired of this notcold that seems to be a cold.

{{{beth}}} Feel better.

I don't think my earlier post posted. I went to the chiropractor today for the first time. It went well, and I think I will continue to go back, although not next week because I am getting my wisdom teeth out next week (whimper). I even had a few glorious hours with no pain at all, which was actually kind of weird.

Feel better, beth. You too, sj.

Thanks, Windsparrow. I'm feeling kind of chipper tonight. Finding something that helps is really wonderful, and having someone promise you that he might not be able to get rid of all your pain but a large percentage of it he can help with is so encouraging.

Ooh, yay! I need to make a chiro appointment, I haven't been in way too long. I think it was helping enough that I ....stopped going. Which is a bad thing. Maintenance is good. (But chiro is EXPENSIVE for me)
