Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I just want to be all strong and independent and not need anyone or their money or whatever. I feel like a leech and gold-digger, and I KNOW that's not the case. I do; and so does he.
I echo all who say it is quite an adult problem. I was in your position when we got together, and it was very stressful, but once we got through it things were much better because everything was out in the open. It's such a relief.
I have to show up for my sleep study at 8 pm. I TRIED to go to sleep early last night, but slept kinda shitty and thus, stayed in bed til 11. What weird dreams. And kinda scary.
BUT my new dr -- sleep specialist-- (damn, I used to never go to the dr. and I've seen three different ones in the last 2 weeks -- I feel like my grandma) raised my Ambien dosage THANK DOG so I can finally take the dosage I need -- 20 mgs -- and not run out in the middle of the month and flip out like a mammal.
Which I think will help my depression AND my insomnia both, since my anxiety about running out and not being able to sleep causes me to, er, flip out like a mammal. (God, that phrase never gets old.)
Anyhoo, I have the Gerorgiana bio to keep me company till I get tired tonight ans I will TRY to sleep. Yay.
And I think I have my 2nd ever yeast infection of my life. Or else poison ivy on my goolie. YOW-ITCH.
I echo all who say it is quite an adult problem.
Adding to the chor.us. Very much an adult problem.
I, on the other hand, have a different problem. My voice is gone. Been sick all week and have coughed so much, my voice decided to take its leave. At least I don't have to be back to work until Wednesday. Hope my voice is back by then.
Erin, good luck with the sleep study. I did one and it's a horrible way to sleep. But, if they can help you out, it's worth the ickiness.
Yeast infections, however, are never worth the ickiness.
Good sleep to you, Erin, and I hope they learn useful things.
Totally adult problem and also stressy, vw, so I'd say you're right on track with feeling bleh about it. I bet CBD is thrilled than he can assist.
GC, glad you're both safe and sound.
Ginger, my sister in twitchy re: finances. Effin' sucks.
Voice~ma, ChiKat. I hate it when that happens.
And hello to everyone else.
Back from work and looking forward to a long, relaxing evening. With maybe some laundry.
omnis and Barb and vw are making me want to move in. Or, short of that, go buy cookie fixins. But, no. I will be a responsible... and simply forage in my kitchen.
Work was actual work, in a fun sort of way: there was a Fall Dance for developmentally disabled adults today. Not only did I get all of my clients up on the dance floor, but also dragged some other folks along, whose staff were not so eager or willing to make fools of themselves. But the feet are less happy with me than they were at the start of the day, there is a headache, and there is a lot of sensory overload.
So, forgive me for being brief: punctuation of all kinds for all the Bitches. I don't have it to elaborate, but I'm thinking encouraging things at you all.
Good luck with the sleep study, Erin. I had one a few weeks ago, and it was extremely helpful for my doctors. I hope so for you as well.
CBD and I just had a good talk. Thank goodness for that. Now we're watching B5. I'd rather be watching 27 Dresses, but, well, a girl can't have everything.

All the food talk has made me hungry and wanting to bake!
I'm a bit pouty right now. I found a jacket for a character for the show I'm directing. It was perfect but the wrong color. No problem! I figured I could just dye it red from "natural". I've dyed plenty of things without ever having a problem. The jacket looked to be in great shape, too.
I mixed up a beautiful shade of red, put the jacket in and waited and stirred. When I took it out to rinse, the stupid thing fell apart at the seams. No reason why it should have acted this way. No way to save it. Of course the color turned out perfect, though.
It took 4 second hand/thrift/rummage shops to find the dumb thing. (The offerings in this area aren't that great) Now I have to start looking for something, again. I tried 2 places today without any luck.
I hate this place.
I finally got my new DVD player. I can watch movies without having to pause and rewind to control skipping every five minutes! Setting it up dislodged my cable organization, though, so now I've got a tangle of cables showing. I need to go buy some more of those sticky foam squares to reattach things where they should be. (I get a bit obsessive about having my electronic stuff set up so that as few cables as possible are showing.)
When I was on vacation in Maine with my family last summer, the toaster in the condo where we stayed had a "Pop Tarts" setting. Like, on the knob for adjusting the time and temperature, there was a little Pop Tarts logo.
I'm watching "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." I am a total sap for this show. I can easily step back and critique it, but still, total sap. (Big critique being: it's great that they can build accessible houses, but it's also kind of ridiculous that people need to get on a TV show, which picks only about 20 families a year, just to get a house where they can go to more than one or two rooms.)
