OK, somewhat random question for people: In talking to some other math grad students in my department, I've found out that at least three of the 15 or so grad students, including me, were suspected of having math disabilities as kids. So, question for other people: were you always good, academically, at whatever it is you ended up doing or being good at as an adult?

I have no math ability and never have had any. I suspect I have Dyscalculia.
I have, however, always had a vivid and visual imagination. I have Masters in Theatre Design and had fun with that for awhile. I enjoy working in Photoshop a lot.

I couldn't technically deconstruct a sentence if you paid me. I mean, I was a good Language Arts student and had good test scores, but get overly technical and I shut down. It takes away some of the beauty for me-- to do everything "right."
