My theory about our moms hating underwire bras is that they used to be a lot more painful to wear when our moms started growing boobs. Bra technology has progressed quite a bit since our moms were teens.

Well, my talk went sort of well. I realized as I was talking that I had a major error on my slides, but I was able to correct it on the fly. I have no idea how that got through the five rounds of editing.

Also, I discovered once again that my low-heel mary janes, which feel perfectly fine when I first put them on, become Hell Shoes within about half an hour. By the end of the day, I could barely walk. I took them off about half an hour ago, and my feet are still red and swollen and possibly bruised. This happens every time I wear these, and I always forget. They're now going in the trash.

I've got my feet up, and have changed into my most comfortable clothes. I need to get dinner, though, and that will require getting dressed again and going to a store. It'll be comfy socks and sneakers this time.

I am way cranky with myself. I had a long list of things to do today and I went to the grocery store. That's it. I don't mind do-nothing days, but I don't like when a day goes wrong for no reason that I can see.

actually complaining about not doing anything -- got me off my ass and doing things --

20 cardboard boxes flattened and put in the recycle bin. kitchen cleaned, dishwasher is running. Refrigerator is a least better if not completely cleaned out. and dinner plans changed, because I needed to use stuff in the freezer. This is good because I now know what Wednesday's dinner will be.
