Back to work, and everyone is here. Mean!boss took the last 3 weeks of the year as vacation, but she's back.
I'm trying VERY hard to work on that don't-have-contempt-for-her thing, and it's not working so far.

So yeah...you know how I've been in crazy vacation sleeping schedule mode? This is when that becomes a problem. I let it get really bad this past week. Got on theatre people schedule of going to bed between 3 and 4 (5 on NYE) and getting up noonish. I've been in bed since 11. I have to get up by 6. Yeah. It's after 2 already. Tomorrow is not going to be pretty.
Oh, Kristin, my sistah in sleep schedule pains. I went to bed at 1 last night and didn't fall asleep until after 3. I was up at 6:50. That's just so very wrong.

I'm picturing goats hopped up on caffeine, and it's not a pretty sight. I feel bad for the goat herders. But hey, they got coffee out of the bargain, so that's something.

Yesterday's plumbing visit cost us over $300, but it didn't seem to be anything we could have done ourselves. I pointed out to my DH (after the guy left) that while I really appreciated the questions/answers he had/got about the plumbing issues, the chit-chat about the plumber's brother, sister, dogs, etc., probably cost us $75. The plumber, however, was great about pointing out to the DH what he'd be able to do on his own and how he should do it in the future.
On another topic entirely, I have discovered that the lighting here at work really highlights the fact that I have had no hair color since pregnancy. I think I need Plei to provide advice.
Oh, goats. How I adore thee.
Though I did have a bit too much and am now jittery as I get ready for my first class of 2009 to walk through my door. I don't really want them too. I want my vacation back!
