Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

and yet I keep trying...

Please don't become a paranoid schizophrenic now, just for the tragic irony.

Nothing could stop me from thinking pervy thoughts about David Tennant, I fear.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Am home. Doing laundry. Can you believe Sears didn't have winter scarves? Only frilly ladies scarves that would not do much to keep me warm, or help in getting a date. "We can order it for you" Ya, no thanks, I can do that on my own, and not have to come back here again.

However, I did get to see the Ben Button movie with Sunil, so the afternoon was not a total loss. Good movie and good company. I agree with Meara, crying at the end? I mean it was sad, but not crying. I did have some minor 'allergy' moments during, but the end was kinda ... dunno ... strange.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Morning, Bitches. I skimmed a little bit to update you, so ~mas to those who needs it - I think I saw Nora's name with that.

So. God, I don't even know where to begin.

There were riots in the neighborhood next to me (Shuafat). I took a cab home, they were throwing stones. Considering the amount of Israeli-Arabs/Palestinians around my neighborhood, it's not that safe outside. And if I am to stay more inside, I SO need to clean the house. It's kind of a mess.

More media is calling this a war. The headline of the newspaper my roommate is subscribed to was "biggest air strike since 1967". There are few talks about going in with infantry, which is BAD.

Currently, Israel's options are: 1. to wipe Gaza off the map, 2. conquer it again, 3. regain the previous situation, 4. talk. Oh, I forgot, nobody thinks about 4.

Edit: will probably update in stages. There's just too much shit. But these are the main things.

go for 4! GO for 4!!!

(what? I can hope, can't I?)

Stay safe Shir! Thanks for the updates. It's amazing how slow the US news is on this. It was like the 5th story on the news tonight. I forget what was first, but I was like "Hello? Gaza?"

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Thanks. And thank you all. All I want to do sometimes is sit and cry, or show more humanity towards something.

I can't believe it's not that safe outside. It's killing me to know I have to stay relatively confined. It's not like I'm gonna skip uni, but it's just... you know. We enjoy very low crime rates in Israel, so I never had the "you might get murdered outside". But I guess I'm getting the better part of the stick here, so why complaining.

God, I haven't even begun the round of phone calls to friends, to find out who got called.

Also, {{vw}}.

Oh, and: from one of the news sources I see that about 230 Palestinians killed yesterday. 15 of them civilians. The rest were members of terror organizations. Those hit % sounds too good to be true to Israel, so I'm waiting to see if that info will be out in other sources as well.

Might be a time to give my mom a call and get an update on my sis.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Shir, I'm so sorry.

I'm praying for a miracle of peace, but I'm not sure I believe in miracles.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

omnis, you want to show me that map of Jerusalem you've talked about? I probably won't be able to recognize anything, but it will still be amusing.

I can't really concentrate at work now.

Update: Israel attacked 20 targets last night and 6 this morning. 10 casualties at all.

If I understand right, one big change is that this time, Israel attacks every place that Hamas is firing from. Including mosques. I wonder if they'll hit the girls' school, a very popular launch site in the north of the Strip.

omnis, about what you asked: my parents house is in the safe zone from the rockets. It's pretty much the safest place in Israel. Jerusalem is also outside of the range, but we're right next to the not-very-quiet West Bank. Also, as I wrote, I'm living in a very mixed area.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Gah! I forgot to watch the Invader Zim Christmas episode. I hope D's awake when I get home because I need to rectify this situation as soon as possible.

Shiny boots of doom!

(OK yeah, petty. No riots in my neighborhood so cancelled TV shows seem important.)
