You know what they say about payback? Well I'm the bitch.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Inkheart is quite watchable - it's no LotR, but pretty scenery, Paul Bettany and Brendan Fraser being decorative, Andy Serkis & Helen Mirren being fabulous, and the plot is quite Buffistaish. fwiw.

We're not doing Christmas until the 27th. Which feels...weird. But on the bright side, I think I'm going to hit the shops on Boxing Day, and maybe pick up extra pressies in the sales! Which would be cool!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Stop teasing- we don't get Inkheart until January.

Oh! Sorry - didn't realise!

We went to see Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa yesterday - that was a lot of fun. And whilst there I saw a poster for Australia, with Huge Ackman and Nicole Kidman, and today I saw a random trailer, and I am so going to go see that! I mean, the script might suck, I don't know, but they've got capable and highly decorative actors, plus great scenery, so definitely worth a look I think. I have no idea what the plot is, but I've enjoyed everything I can think of that I've seen either of them in. (Well, except X3, and that wasn't his fault - he didn't write the script or do the directing.)

edited to correct the movie - I liked X2. It was X3 that made me want to knife someone.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ok, today isn't being as cooperative as I would like. Yay, it is up to 3 whole degrees above 0 Farenheit (that's -16 for those of you following along in Centigrade). Boo, Daniel isn't getting to come home early for Christmas Eve. Yay, I called and ordered from our favorite Chinese restaurant before they closed early for the holiday. Boo, I can't pick up my order due to discovering a flat tire when I went start the car. Yay, they also deliver. Boo, I followed a link on an ad in my gmail for "#1 Law of a Perfect Body - Health.Discovery.com - How I Lost 42 Pounds in 2 Months. Just Obey this 1 Rule, That's All." to the Discovery Health website, only to find there is no article or video that remotely answers to that description.

That flat tire, well, it could be worse. I mean, Daniel's off work, so I can use his vehicle tomorrow. But if I've got his van, he won't be able to come hang out with me, while the group home is empty of residents.

Thrive to spite them

Well I completely under estimated how much paper and ribbon I have. Looks like I'll be doing a lot of wrapping at Mom's in the morning.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

We're going to see Madagascar 2 today. (Oh: Happy Christmas!) I had been thinking we'd see Australia, but penguins apparently beat Hugh Jackman (which would be a scene eminently worth filming).

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

That was fun. Perkins, megan, and I saw that in IMAX. I quite enjoyed the lemur's steeds.

I watched The Namesake last night, and found it very enjoyable and affecting. I know there were flaws with the movie, but it hit me in the perfect spot.

meara - Dec 24, 2008 1:54:49 pm PST #5690 of 10000

I spent the night at N's after playing scrabble last night, and when her alarm went off, we discovered it was yet again snowing, so she called in to work AGAIN, and we slept in very late and have been lolling about, reading and on teh intarwebs in our pajamas (she's playing WoW, I'm borrowing her laptop to visit y'all after exhausting both trashy books I brought). Not terribly Christmassy...I'm a little sad we're not at my house, where I at least got a tiny tabletop Christmas tree yesterday. Though at my house, I only have the one computer. But perhaps I can convince her to stay there tonight...

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

so it sounds like meara's having a merry Christmas. Good for you.

We don't have snow, just rain, but I like rain when I'm spending the day inside.
