Mal: Well said. Wasn't that well said, Zoe? Zoe: Had a kind poetry to it, sir.

'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

That was fun. Perkins, megan, and I saw that in IMAX. I quite enjoyed the lemur's steeds.

I watched The Namesake last night, and found it very enjoyable and affecting. I know there were flaws with the movie, but it hit me in the perfect spot.

I spent the night at N's after playing scrabble last night, and when her alarm went off, we discovered it was yet again snowing, so she called in to work AGAIN, and we slept in very late and have been lolling about, reading and on teh intarwebs in our pajamas (she's playing WoW, I'm borrowing her laptop to visit y'all after exhausting both trashy books I brought). Not terribly Christmassy...I'm a little sad we're not at my house, where I at least got a tiny tabletop Christmas tree yesterday. Though at my house, I only have the one computer. But perhaps I can convince her to stay there tonight...

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

so it sounds like meara's having a merry Christmas. Good for you.

We don't have snow, just rain, but I like rain when I'm spending the day inside.

I had to go out and get batteries so I could change the input on my tv and watch my DVD of Scrooged

Luckily I need peach juice for the prosecco we are bringing to friends tonight

and random envelopes with cards and gifts ( like homemade jelly ) keep showing up on my doorstep.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I slept in till noonish. Filled up the gas tank and got the car washed. By the time I got to the supermarket, breakfat had worn off. And oh boy did the bill show it. And the supermarket was PACKED!

Bosses wife responded, and asked if I could bring some pre-meal healthy munchies. So I picked up veggie & fruit platters.

Meara, I say the best part of snow and rain storms is snuggling with the one you love. So that makes it sound like you got a great Xmas going on over there.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm reading about old Christmas traditions. Pre-Victorian Christmas seems like it was very drunk.

Our wings are not tired

Sounds like the pre-victorians had it right.

I think that my favorite (possibly because it's the only one I've read about tonight that I've never heard of before) is that people would go out to the apple orchards, drink cider, and sing songs to the trees so that the apple harvest would be good the next year.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

D got home, I told him about the washer. He checked it- it seems to be working fine.
