I appreciate the offer but that's a long drive. I'm sure I can use my brother's machine tomorrow if I have to.
Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Happy Holidays to them who celebrate - and to everyone, a peaceful few days with warmth and family and good health.
Love you all
(eta: I think that goes to a page of a bunch of cakes. My intent was to link to the one on the bottom right. This one:Wow! Those cakes are awesome! Glad you left the other link. If we have a Mega F2F in Michigan, we should try for some of those cakes.
I need to grocery shop. I don't want to grocery shop. Wanna sit and do nothing all day. Alas, the cupboards are bare.
Shir, Peace~ma over heading your way. Share with your sister, k?
Sean? How you doing? Any word on S? You are in my thoughts.
Safe travels to everyone! Happy xmas to those that celebrate. Happy Festival of Lights to those that celebrate that. Oh heck, Happiness to everyone, and to all a good night.
Cookies are in the oven, clothes need to be folded and the kids's plane is delayed an hour. Yay! (I know, I'm a freak.) But, more time to get all the last minute things done and I need it.
My parents just added a new family room to the house, and they're putting in a big TV and all new sound system and all kinds of stuff like that. And they cannot agree on anything here. Anything. They were seriously sitting in the next room arguing about which bracket to get to attach the TV to the wall.
I have been to the laundromat. It was confusing but I survived.
have fun, Hil.
find a corner to hide in
There are no corners to hide in. All the floors just got refinished, so we have almost no furniture. Their bedroom and my sister's room have beds, and that's it. I'm sleeping in my sister's room until Friday, when the floor finish will be set enough that we can bring the furniture back in. So right now, I'm kind of hiding out in my sister's room, but I'm still within earshot of them. (They've stopped arguing about the bracket, thankfully.)
I'm not sure what we're going to do tomorrow. None of the current crop of movies appeals--curse you, Peter Jackson, for spoiling us all!--so maybe we'll stay at home, eat, drink wine, and watch DVDs.
Inkheart is quite watchable - it's no LotR, but pretty scenery, Paul Bettany and Brendan Fraser being decorative, Andy Serkis & Helen Mirren being fabulous, and the plot is quite Buffistaish. fwiw.
We're not doing Christmas until the 27th. Which feels...weird. But on the bright side, I think I'm going to hit the shops on Boxing Day, and maybe pick up extra pressies in the sales! Which would be cool!
