PTSD is a big deal in my country and effects almost everyone, and only lately being acknowledge publicly
I don't know if the comic strip Doonesbury is followed by you or anyone you know, but PTSD is the subject of this week's arc. Apparently some high up generals are coming out and saying they're suffering from PTSD like some of their troops are.

I didn't know about this, connie. Thank you.
"how can I go to church when the first law is 'thou shall not kill'?" So he obviously still has some issues with his former profession.
My grandfather would never speak about his experiences in France during WWI. He told my brother he didn't want anyone to know because all he was "was a killer." Most folks honestly don't want to know about that. And is one of the reasons why many soldiers refuse to admit to PTSD. Even to the point where one coworkers family got sent back to the states from Spain so that the husband could get treatment. Yet, it was kept all on the hush-hush, no one was to know why. It was given out that there was an emergency in the family stateside that required their return. This was over 20 years ago, so I don't know if it's gotten any better today. I surely hope so.
BD has been struggling for quite a while in the strip. He's always been very gung-ho, USA!, and all that. He lost a leg in Iraq and has been dealing with all that. The creator of Doonesbury has gotten lots of kudos for his work with veterans and soldiers.
Not to nit pick your BiL or anything omnis, but the first law is "I am the Lord your God, you shall have no other gods before me." Thou shall not kill is like fourth or fifth.

I'm wondering when would be the time to show her this.
I've added to my Netflix Queue. Although it looks like they don't carry it yet, so it's just in the "saved" list. Still too new to quite understand that. But the flick looks interesting. (side note, since starting Netflix, I've watched a LOT more doc's and foreign films! Screw you HBO).

Eh, don't blame him, not a direct quote. Blame me. I recall the words, just not the order. Besides, all the churches change the order of the 10 commandments anyhow.

It's okay, man. I was just picking, because it brought me a tiny bit of levity.

Yeah, but that "I am the Lord your God," one
always
comes first.
So, they're admitting her at Hollywood Presbyterian. They're talking to the doctors at Cedars, and will hopefully be able transfer her out there at some point, but don't know when that is just yet. They're running some more tests, so I've come home for a little bit. I may try to kill the scary Lutheran colony in the sink, but I may just sit here and sob for a few hours.
