It's not like she blew me off. She just left with another guy, that's all.

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm pretty certain that Shir isn't doing the shooting, so maybe this could be phrased differently.

Yes, I was very uncomfortable reading that phrasing. Though it doesn't seem to bother Shir any so I guess there's nothing much (for me) to say about it anymore!

cereal to add: Sean, I was talking to my grandmother the other day and it sounded like she had a similar thing with the brown vomit stuff, and she recovered fine. Can't speak to the seizures though.

I really meant Israel, not Shir personally. Corrected above.

And in terms of recognizing Israel - yeah, Hamas, and Fatah too do a lot of stuff that is stupid and wrong. The rocket attacks are wrong on many levels. I actually think the argument that they are not aimed at disputed terrorities is not the overwhelming thing wrong with them. After all most Israeli attacks are aimed at disputed territories. But, in spite of nonsensical excuses otherwise, they are aimed at civilians not at military targets. And they are not even aimed at civilians to accomplish military goals (not that this would be an excuse. They really are terrorism in the sense of the word as originally defined rather than the expanded version used by the Bush admin. They are attacks against civilians for the purpose of inflicting death and suffering in hopes the civilian population will be terrified and give in.

In spite of this, and other things, Israel does a lot m ore damage to civilians than Hamas. And Hamas has pretty mcuh said they would extend the truce if Israel would just reduce the siege. In terms of Isreal providin food and medicine - yeah after pretty much keeping out all other sources it provides a trickle. Basically it lets in just enough to avoid actual genocide. I'm sorry, but not actually keeping all food and supplies out, and thus not actually exterminating the Palestinian population does not Isreal moral points.

The main thing though is this. Israel is the regional superpower. Israel is overwhelmingly in control of the situation, even if it can't completely protect its population, its survival as a nation is not in danger other from its own self-destruction. Terrorists pose a criminal threat to Israel. They can kill and create suffering. They can't wipe out Israel; Israel can't be invaded. Israel can't be cut off from food or supplies. Israel has 90% of the power now, and that gives it more responsibility.

Oh and about the fishers. "Intelligence" is the vague type of excuse that can justify anything. These fringe groups (and it is often fringe not mainstream Hamas committing the worst acts) get intelligence from Syrian and Arab allies with access to satellite data. Does any additional information provided by a minority of these fishers really dangerous enough to justify destroying a whole key industry.

One other comment that Egypt used more violence to contain the breakout from Gaza than Israel does. Yeah, to comply with the requirements of their treaty with Israel, reinforced by threats from Israel to cut off all supplies to Gaza from the Israeli side if Egypt did not start complying with the treaty by containing the breakout.

I totally understood that: it's alright.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I'm wondering how many years of therapy would take to make her cope with all of this death once she'll be out.
it really depends on the training and mindset of the person. My bro-in-law was a USMC sniper, and from what I understand, a fairly good one at that. Yet he is one of the more self-actualized people I know. That said, he refuses to go to church, his reasoning being, "how can I go to church when the first law is 'thou shall not kill'?" So he obviously still has some issues with his former profession.

I forgot to ask my question for the group. For Xmas day, the boss has invited me over for dinner. I asked what is needed, and he's like "just you". I feel strange walking in empty handed. Granted, I'll probably be setting up his Wii, as he is very non-AV abled, but still. They don't drink, so bring a bottle of whatever would be a waste. Do I just show up as ordered? Should I drop an e-mail to his wife and ask? Ugg, manners. They tear me apart sometimes.

PTSD is a big deal in my country and effects almost everyone, and only lately being acknowledge publicly. Hell, one of my friends figures every single person in this world has this or another form of PTSD.

I'm wondering when would be the time to show her this.

O_A: I'd e-mail her first and ask if there's anything you can bring, like an appetizer or Cokes. If she says no, absolutely not, plan B could be flowers or a Christmas ornament, if they are people of the Christmas persuasion.

Dear car service people: Please call me back, even if it's to tell me the truck won't be ready today. The limbo is driving me nuts.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Omnis, flowers. And maybe some sweets -- chocolates or fancy cookies, not something meant to replace the desserts that they've doubtless already planned, but something that can be either eaten later or passed around during Wii-time.

I'm with the flower people. And emailing the wife first.
