I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ok, Santa, about that Peace on Earth thing? I know its not Christmas quite yet, but I promise not to cry on Christmas morning because I don't have any presents to open, if you should just happen to deliver this one early.

So has anyone ever noticed cheap, store brand lite strawberry yogurt tasting more like cherry cough drops than strawberry yogurt? Or is this just me having a nothing tastes or smells quite right phase? I fear taking them back to the store, because it seems like such a whiny thing, but man, do they not taste right to me. When I nosh on jalepeno & cheddar chips (really, I'm just eating them for the potassium), I'm only noticing the jalepeno, and not the cheddar. Mint stuff tastes ok. But regular chocolate isn't tasting right, either.

Right, so now that I'm done being profound and have moved on to talking about food, I posted a recipe for my favorite variety of chocolate chip cookies on my LJ: [link] Just in case anyone is interested in them - called toffee cookies, they are meant to imitate both the flavor and the teeth-breaking peril.

Now tagless for your comfort.

If chocolate didn't taste right, I'd be calling the doctor. To me, that ranks up there as a medical emergency.

Liv decorated a snowman cookie and decided that she wanted a black snowflake.

I'm for bed. Lots to do in the next two days to get ready for our Christmas guests.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Hubby and I were just looking at the cute Jilli-in-the-snow pictures, and he's now wondering how tall the Buffistas are in comparison to me. I'm 5'2", and Hubby's curious if any of the female Buffistas are more than 6 inches taller than I.

Coming a little late to the measurement party, but I'm 5ft 3. Or possibly 5ft 2. I don't usually think of myself as vertically challenged, but occasionally it is brought to my attention that actually, people are mostly taller than me - generally I consider this an aberration on their part, but apparently I'm actually somewhat hobbitlike, in the greater scheme of things.

Upon meeting Plei for the first time, I seem to remember her exclaiming "OMG you're so short!" or something. So apparently tallness isn't my best thing. Since I surround myself with seven year olds most days, however, I continue to go around believing myself to be quite tall.
