I've been enjoying that a lot this year. Tomorrow is my best friend's Belgian themed b'day party so I'll be picking up lots of lambic and some other belgian beers. And making a Belgian beer beef stew. YUM!

It was 65 in Cincinnati today. End-of-the-world weather, y'all. That simply should not be. I saw more than one person out running errands in shorts. Not, like, *running* as exercise, but people in the stores with me.
I mean -- 65. Less than a week before Xmas. Not on, Mother Nature.

I had lunch with my mom, who works at my high school. It was the last day before break, so all the girls were zipping around in high spirits and hijinx. At one point, one of the Latin classes came over to the building my mom's office is in, and sung carols in Latin. Good times.
Mmmm, Magic Beer! I do not have that particular Magic Beer, but I do have Sierra Nevada Celebration.
The Sierra Nevada is good, but I still maintain it's nowhere near the Magic Beer.

Lisah, if you like the Sierra Nevada, look for Anderson Valley's Winter Solstice. That's the one nicknamed "Magic Beer," because it is Just That Good. Seriously. It's malty and a little spicy, so you've got to like that kind of beer, but like I said, if you like the Sierra Nevada Celebration, I feel confident that you'll love the Anderson Valley Winter Solstice. If you can find it.
Plus, the brewery is solar powered, which is really fucking cool.

We have a crazy General Manager (in a good way). They were singing "Tidings of comfort and joy..." and she apparently heard "cum, fart, and joy". I guess they put a bit of a pause in that word when they sang it or something. Aren't Friday's wonderful. Especially end of the day.
