Oh, YAY!!!! Kristin. I am SO happy for you and Zoe!
There should be some bells ringing because I'll be damned if some angel didn't get his wings.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, Kristin, that makes me so happy.
Yay Zoe!
Man chemistry is scary stuff. This dude at work gets within a yard of me and I have a physical reaction. I'm doing my best to enjoy it privately and remind myself that it'll never go anywhere.
Yay, Zoe! But I must take issue with the word "just" in your announcement....
Thanks, everyone! I've been preparing myself for bad news all week because I knew the odds were against her. I'm so happy to know that she's going to be okay and that I didn't put her through major surgery for nothing.
On a side note, if any pet-owning local Buffista ever finds out your pet needs major surgery, I have a hell of a veterinary surgeon to recommend. The same woman who amputated Byron's leg did this major work on Zoe, and she's excellent. Expensive, but excellent. She's the one who all the local vets recommend whenever they get a case they feel is too serious for them to handle.
Anyway, yay!
just a dog. And a BLT is just a sandwich!
are people in Washington the state any better with snow that in Washington the city?
In the rural and suburban areas where we don't have many snow plows, we have schools, hospitals closing. Last night a lot of grocery stores closed early.
As a Washingtonian who is NOT good with snow I have a question. Someone told me that with only four inches on a steep driveway you are better off not shoveling because you end up uncovering ice and giving your tires less traction. Good tip? Bad tip?
Yay for Zoe!!!
Yay Zoe and good pet news!
Our driveway was relatively steep and we used to shovel all winter in Illinois. If it got icy we would sprinkle sand over it.
