My boss didn't listen to my voicemail on his cell phone last night, and is insisting I came in to work today.
Andi is at work, Cousin Steve has no phone, and my old cop car has a dead battery and a tranny which can't get out of low. And it's not insured right now.

We are three shorthanded at work this weekend because we lost two guys, another one is suddenly in jail weekends for a long-ago infraction that caught up with him.
I've put a charger on the squad car, so maybe Andi can drive it tomorrow. She may be getting home early form work. I will take her car to put in some hours. I will try and grab the battery from the crunched Grand Am when I get home.
I checked the oil in the squad car. Black as soot.

That's definitely squashed. It's a shame there isn't an insurance category for "being an asshole" or "hitting a car while driving drunk or without a license" that gives more money to the victim.
