Aimee update:
Parker tried calling and got voicemail and answering machines, but did find out that Aimee's been released from the hospital. Beyond that, we got bubkes but at least she's out.
ETA: Update from Aimee
Basically she slipped on the third stair from the bottom, landed hard on her butt, hurt ow ow ow, passed out. Tests, blood draws, she hollered for two hours about staying overnight, 4 seconds of sleep
More tests this morning (boo hiss bad)
All of which adds up to Neurocardiogenic syncopy -- AKA, the common faint.
She fell on her ass, suffered the ouchie, and passed out.
As is completely befitting an Empress' delicate nature.
But we're all glad it's not worse, that's fer shur.
Glad Aimee is okay, other than falling.
Steph your plan sounds like a good idea.
I have a headache, it's all my fault I ate WAY too much sugar today, everyone seemed to bring in sweets today at work and I got a sugar high, then crashed, now headache.
Thanks for the updates Barb. All good to know.
So glad to hear Aimee's okay. And, Teppy, waiting 2 weeks to Stick It To The Man sounds like a good plan. All kinds of no-pain~ma.
Today has been one of the best days I've had in weeks. I rotate 6th grade classes every 7 weeks and I just got to dumppass on a horrible class and have 2 shiny new sections as of today. So far, so good. And, I'm doing a lot of groundwork this week on behavior and expectations with this bunch.
Barb, thanks for the update. I'm glad Aimee is ok.
Steph, good plan.
Glad Aimee's doing OK.
I went to the doctor about my shoulder today. She said she doesn't think anything's torn, but the only way to tell for sure is an MRI, but there's no real reason to do one just to see that. I'm getting some x-rays done, and physical therapy. If the PT doesn't make the pain and inflammation go away, then we'll consider cortisone shots.
Good point. So unless the pain comes back as bad as it was over the weekend, or unless my doctor can come up with a convincing reason that I *must* get the MRI in the next 2 weeks, I'll do it, but I'm going to wait until January 2.
I would go ahead and call them to schedule in January, though. There's probably a wait, so you might as well get on the schedule instead of waiting until January and then having to wait some more.
Thanks for the update on Aims. I was going to skip, but had to skim to not miss important to me stuff.
Sounds like a good plan, Steph. May the pain level rapidly decline until you get the MRI in January.
Also lots of ~ma continuing outbound for Hil's shoulder, and dear Zoe, and all of the Bitches needing da ~ma.
ION, the video clip being replayed continuously of shoes flying at Bush just doesn't get old. Also not getting old, listening to news conferences with a leader that is all articulate and sense making.
she slipped on the third stair from the bottom
Thank god it's not much. Several months ago a girl was going down some stairs here in my building, she slipped 4-5 steps up, and broke several bones in her ankle. I was the only one who heard her go flump, but I figured it was a slip and she wouldn't want anyone to see her be embarrassed--then I heard her crying for help.
Women prefer the internet over sex
I've been NGA so long, I don't really remember sex, but I'm on the internet for hours a day
